Australian made cars are just as likely to have faded LCDs. The Ford AU climate control is our most commonly serviced item.  

Ford AU vehicles were built from late 1998 until 2003. With some cars well over 15 years in service, age & environmental factors are reducing the likelihood of 100% perfect repair outcomes.

What this means is despite our best efforts some displays do not improve or only show the majority of the available segments correctly after our repair operation.

The AU climate control & trip computer display have 80 possible display segments, not all are active at the same time.

On the basis of this we have defined the following repair price structure and warranty:-

1. Repair attempted, no significant improvement observed: $50

          Warranty: no warranty

2. Repair attempted, 74 to 78 segments are working correctly: $220

          Warranty: 3 months

3. Repair successful, 100% of the segments work correctly: $350

          Warranty: 6 months

Customers should consider carefully the above as it is not possible to predict a repair outcome beforehand.
