SOS Call System Failure
The Telematic module (TCU) operates the following in-vehicle functions:-
The original telematic module was manufactured by Motorola. The Motorola "Everest" TCU has by design an extremely limited bluetooth phone compatability list and is suited to old Nokia handsets (6151, 6230i, 6233 & E71).
A new generation TCU was introduced in 2007 called TCU1.5.
TCU1.5 is manufactured by Continental with broader bluetooth phone compatability list that includes all modern smartphones (iPhones and Android devices are supported).
A TCU is present when a SOS "Mayday" switch exists.
TCU failure is indicated when the instrument cluster displays the SOS error symbol. Depending on the failure severity the symbol background may be yellow or red.
Offered Services:
1. Repair yours $500
This involves repairing your defective Continental TCU1.5.
Up to 5 working day turnaround (customer can still operate vehicle without TCU being installed).
2. Fit a Changeover $600
